I like being able to watch someone handling the food I'm about to eat. The food is good and the employees depend on the people's... patronage, they make less than minimum wage. 20% gratuity makes a big difference to them. Don't just support the local businesssupport the local employees. Read more
It's been quite a few years since I've been to a Waffle House and my family stopped into the High Street location on a whim this... evening. It was by far the cleanest I've ever been to. Lynnette was our server and everything was just perfect. My 4 year oldson, possibly Butler County's harshest food critic, was so impressed with how good the food was that he insisted on making surehe gave the cook two very enthusiastic thumbs up. Loved it! Haven't been here in a long time..but glad I went back! Easy to get a booth and it was clean. They didn't have to... clear off dishes or wipe down table. Went around 11am and no wait. I had scrambled eggs with cheese, ham, tomatoes. ( Theycustom make their scrambled eggs according to what customers like), grits and hash browns. Very good. My friend has the steaksandwich with cheese on toast or some kind of bread. He said it was delicious. When I go back will try this. Also want to trythe "cheesy grits" and "Pecan Waffles" that I have heard great things about. Waitress was very attentive and kind and kept ourcoffee refilled (also good but also wish they had iced Mocha, or Caramel Macchiato coffee). Prices were outstanding. Food was good, service was good. People behind us were hilarious but conversation was x-rated and he was giving the cook a hard... time all in good fun. It's what you would expect at 4 am when nothing else is open and everyone else is at home sleeping. Butfor that situation they were perfect they laughed and kept it moving.
