My wife and I are searching for a new Chinese restaurant. Someone told us to try china manor. I almost left after seeing how... disgusting the carpet was. So I wondered to the bathroom ,yikes. You know what they say, if the dining area is dirty and thebathrooms are gross. The kitchen may be worse. We ordered some basic food and it was a 4 star. I know this sounds ludicrous but from carryout last night I had the BEST egg roll I've had in over 20 years - fresh, crispy... exterior, interior done but not soggy, flavorful and you could actually SEE shrimp. Happily surprised! As someone else said,the pieces of chicken in General Tso's were very large so it was hard for a chopstick novice like myself to negotiate but thesauce was good and the chicken was good - and NO ubiquitous underdone broccoli - thanks! Shrimp toast was also just right. Husband still likes my chicken fried rice better but this was definitely good. I wish I could give it zero stars. Last time I ordered their lo mean, it literally had no flavor, just an oily noodle. Tried... again, their fried shrimp hard as a rock with pancake batter on it? Sauce makes no sense...Barely cooked broccoli.... did youget already cooked shrimp and then try to recook it? We ordered from this establishment after driving past it a few times. As 90's kids we were super excited to see it is a sit... down place with the zodiac paper placemats and crunchies for the table. We were let down by the food. The sushi smelled likethe fish was super old and we were apprehensive about eating it. We had one piece each and decided we didn't want foodpositioning so we put it aside. The general TSO chicken was ok, the lo mein was meh. Overall we were disappointed with thislocation's food.
