Has a great time visiting Windsor Run. The wine was fantastic and the stars was very polite. Loved the Hillbilly Holiday... fortified wine so much that I ended up ordering half a case online and the shipping was fast and everything was packaged verywell. Read more
Large selection of wines here. The midnight run was delicious. We ended up getting a bottle of the reserve (as well as a few... others) they had a large seating area and some cheeses you could purchase. The staff was helpful in explaining the differentwines. There was a distillery there as well but unfortunately they weren't operating on the day we went. Read more
Windsor Run was a great find, especially since it is just a hop skip and a jump from Statesville. We wandered up the side roads... and found a few other gems, there are a couple of amazing general stores on the way up. Windsor Run wines are a treat. While Iprefer dry red, I will say there were some unanticipated surprises (all good). The dry reds alone were worth the trip up. WhileI generally avoid wine clubs this one is worth the investment, especially since it is near home and easy to enjoy all thebenefits. Highly recommended. AND thank you Lisa we had a great time!!!! Hopefully we will have nicer weather next visit forphotos, a beautiful setting. Well... return visit, no photos, but we introduced a couple of new friends to Windsor Run, and hada great time for all! Update: we will have to wait for the vines to bud out for photos, but we really need to get back for adistillery tour. As always we enjoy our visits. Dang, we missed the wine club event! Cheers!
