Maybe a sign of the times but best said inconsistent. My meatloaf was yummy but small, the home fries fine, the pickled beats... NOT pickled just sliced canned beats cold. Wife's French toast good BUT fruit topping worst ever. Looked around same thing somehanded wonderful food ample meal good tasting then others not. My only guess is they have a staffing issue in the back and arewaitress did everything possible to deal with the issue including making my wife's main course free and free desserts to makeup. But in the end I feel it's a sign of the times that's only gotten worse, people no longer wishing to do the jobs andrestaurant owners at Whit's End trying to deal with it. Read more

Fast service. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant had a slightly musty smell for some reason, but... otherwise the atmosphere was very good for a diner-style restaurant. The food was great, and the portions were large. Greatbargain for the price. There aren't many dine in restaurants with good food and good service to begin with, and when you canget a meal for 3 for $50, including a large appetizer platter, it's very hard to beat. Great restaurant with outstanding customer service. There is ample parking and other motorist are courteous as they drive very... slow throughout the parking lot. As this was my first visit I was introduced to the check in procedure by the friendly locals inline; check in with the attendant and he/she will give you an electronic device that with notify you when your table is ready.My wait for a table was very short to my surprise as there was a very long line of customers waiting to be seated. My waitresswas very professional and approached every question with patience and detail. I ordered a western omelet breakfast with stuffedBlueberry French toast. The wait for my breakfast was approximately 20 minutes; my waitress arrived with my meal with such graceas she used a folding table to assist her with her presentation.The omelet breakfast was perfect, just the way I like it. Thestuffed french toast was wonderful, huge portion very fresh and tasty. I usually stick with just just eggs for breakfast but Ithink I can add that stuffed french toast to my occasional breakfast. Our waiter was so helpful. I was afraid to ask for My steak to be cooked more. She made me feel comfortable asking and went... above and beyond for sides they didn't have to accommodate my daughter and I.
