Best burger in the Harrisburg area! Cash only. Their signature burger is the made-fresh-each-time "Jackson House", which is... approximately a half pound bacon cheeseburger with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. They cook to your desired level of doneness,make subs, make their own mozzarella and get their bread from Philadelphia bakeries. Be prepared to wait a bit for theirfreshly made stuff. Reasonable prices for what you get. They are only open for the weekday lunch crowd (10:30 AM to 2 PM Mon -Friday, but grill closes at 1:40). This well-kept restaurant is on the small side with some unique food related artistictouches. They do a big take-out business. The staff is super nice, they always treat you like a long lost brother (or sister). I?ve lived in Harrisburg area for five years now and never tried Jackson House until recently. Everyone always said they had the... best cheese steaks, and I was not disappointed! Wow, its been a while that I had a burger so tasty and wonderful as Jackson's burger. I ordered the house burger and it was... amazing. The patty was juicy and the bun was wonderful. The fries acted as a normal side, it could have been more better tomake a perfect combination. Read more

Great place to eat! The staff was super nice and checked on our table several times even when it got busy. The inside of the... restaurant isn't huge so it can get crowded during the rush but we found a table quickly. I got the Jackson Burger and it was sogood! Very juicy and well cooked.
