This place was pretty neat. It's not so much a convenience store as authentic home made mexican food that also sells beer and... wine. The guacamole was delicious and the fruit water they make is fantastic! Read more
Service was great, everyone was super friendly! We got rice&veg tacos, steak tacos, bean & cheese pupusas, and pork & cheese... pupusas. Decent tacos, delicious pupusas. Pupusas were big, crispy, and the dough to filling ratio was amazing. we also gottheir horchata and pineapple juice. Horchata was a bit grainy but we didn't mind it was still good and the pineapple juice wasnice, sweet, and refreshing. Went to LA Morena for lunch today. Ordered a chicken burritos and asked for the black beans in the burrito instead of the... refried beans which is not in the food picture that is display behind the counter. The first time I went to La Morena's thechicken burrito was delicious, after that it has never been/tasted the same. The burrito does not taste good anymore????? La Morena is yet another excellent authentic Mexican restaurant in Harrisonburg. I almost always get the tripe tacos, a... quesadilla, and a Mexican Coke. They have an excellent array of salsas to choose from which makes this one of my favoriterestaurants for tacos. It always takes a while, so be patient... It's well worth the wait. Read more
