I was craving authentic mediterrean food. I found this place on google with all of its wonderful reviews. I drive 36 minutes for... a gyro. It was the best gyro I've ever had!! Fresh made pitas, large, chewy and airy. The kebabs were moist, and flavorful andthe baba ghanoush was delicious! I ordered seconds before leaving the parking lot! Small place but good food The place is super small The food is relatively good It?s better than great number of Mediterranean... restaurants. I tried soup, shawarma and kabab. Visiting area. Arrived hungry and looking for a good meal. Drove 25 minutes to this wonderful little dining establishment in... Harrisonburg. Greeted very warmly. Food options were explained in detail. Accommodated vegan requests. Ordered steak andchicken kebabs with rice and veggies. Both were very good. Rice was like the Jasmine version, very light. Lots of rice. Light amount of veggies. My next order would be 1/2 the amount of rice and 2x the veggies. Family member ordered UltimateVegetarian and said it was very good too. This meal eats like a salad until you get to a point where the bread can be folded. The French fries were good too. The restaurant's decor reminds me of a Cafe you would find on an Istanbul or Damascus sidestreet. I Love that we have these places in the US. Worth the drive.
