A cozy local spot that is fantastic for Japanese food, especially reasonably priced sashimi and rolls! The interior is lovingly... decorated from the ceiling (parasols are hanging downwards) to the screens between tables, but note that dining space islimited. We went on a weekend evening right before 7pm and there was no wait along with ample parking spots. By 8pm, there werepeople in the waiting area and only one parking spot. I would recommend arriving for dinner on a weekday from 5-7pm to enjoytheir dinner bento boxes, which are only available for dine-in. Very friendly staff who gladly served us tonkatsu as anappetizer (off-menu) instead of a main dish when asked. Our food arrived within 15 minutes and we particularly enjoyed thesashimi, which was fresh and generously thick for the price (less than $30 for an assorted plate with 10+ pieces). A surprisestar of our meal was the agedashi (deep-fried tofu) at $9.50 which was packed with umami and a palatable texture. Weunfortunately would not recommend the shoyu ramen ($15) as the soup flavor was too light for our tastes with rather dry porkchashu lacking the oomph we expected and noodles that did not live up to the usual springiness of ramen. Fortunately, there areother dishes to enjoy, such as the takoyaki (octopus balls - $9.50) and rice bowls. We will be back to try out more rolls andother appetizers! I recommend visiting this place if you crave affordable, delicious Japanese food in a casual dine-in setting. Read more

This place is amazing, the overall quality of the food and service was remarkable. Our order came extremely fast, while other... restaurants take about 30-25 minutes for your order to come, but this place has no problem with that at all. It only took themabout 5-7 minutes to have our food ready. On top of the service, the design of the place was amazing! They had so many detailson the walls and even the ceiling! They had carefully designed umbrellas facing down to make the ceiling look a lot better. Thefood was also great! So next time you pass here, don?t underestimate it. Read more

One of the finest places to eat sushi in Westchester. A former fire station, the seating is a bit close-up, but the sushi is... always fresh and well prepared. The proportion ma between rice and protein is alway excellent. The uni is perfect. I highlyrecommend this place! Read more
