The restaurant is located in the heart of Fl History and is worth seeing the artifacts inside by itself but you definitely want... to stay and eat the wonderful food! Our server was super kind and welcoming. The fish dip for starters is perfectly seasonedand portioned. The shrimp fried to perfection and the catfish blackened perfectly and not to much spice or heat. Laid on a plateof cheese grits that were creamy and delicious. The tea is delicious and plentiful. No room for a desert so I guess I?ll have togo back and try one later. Oh darn. Lol. I highly recommend you try this wonderful piece of Florida history. Read more

So this place .. what a true treat. So it must be stated that we waited a veerrryyy long time to be acknowledged by the hostess.... We were behind two other parties and they waited as well.. but this place we sought out and there is literally nothing for milesand miles and well.. miles. So we waited and watched as the couple in the front got seated and finally the next one. Our turn.So the hostess was working her tail off in the kitchen and seating people. Everyone was running around and working hard. Come tolearn they, like all restaurants, had many service personnel call in. They are so far out that by the time they would havecalled others out to help it would all be over. So we decided to be patient and take advantage to look around. That part was anunexpected positive for sure! So many little rooms in this converted house and so malt things to read about the town and it?speople and it?s history. And then of course.. the author and the book for who the establishment is baked for. Loved it all! Eachroom was unique. K sorry for the long explanation but let me get to the good stuff? the food! The service! The food.. long waitI said that lol. Everything was delicious? made with love and care and just fabulous. The sweet server we had ran from one endto the other and always made sure we were well cared for. Cross Creek is a great little place and we will definitely return! Read more

This is a wonderful destination. We ate here while staying in the cabins next door (2021 & 2022). The decor is incredible as is... the food. Everything from duck, venison, shrimp, gator bites, pork chops, salads, and don?t forget the desserts. Read the book,The Yearling, and rent a cabin to really get the feeling of the restaurant. And, yes, the books are for sale! I have made this ayearly tradition . A great place! Read more

Outstanding. Services was great. Fried and blackened catfish was some of the best I've ever had. The filets were huge. Okra... and tomatoes and cheese grits for our sides. Can't wait to go again. Read more
