Upon check in of our beachside cabin we realized the door did not lock. We informed the front desk attendant (around 1 pm) who... said "I know" and seemed surprised we wanted someone to fix it. This made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. Around 4:30 pmit had not been fixed so we called the front desk twice and spoke with bartenders who said someone might come tomorrow. I letthem know that is unacceptable as were only staying one night and we're leaving our personal belongings in there all day andwant to feel safe while sleeping here. He let me know he is just a bartender and to come speak to the front desk attendant. Weshowed up to the front desk and the lights were off and no one was in sight (4:45pm). She let me know the next day that sheinformed her boss and left at 5:00. Also, the trains are very annoying if you're a light sleeper. This place is lacking someserious customer service. The train! ..all I can say is it goes by most days every 45 minutes to an hour. It's loud... like really loud. Usually blows its... horn 7 to eight times. All day/night. ( today was 1:30 am and 4:30am then 7am. ???? Super cool place! Pools and beach areawesome. Bathrooms are like new and always clean. Everything cost money and it's not cheap.. $15 per person per day for the jumppad. (Not included with res.) It's only open from 12-6 and it closes from 1:30 -2:30 everyday for lifeguard breaks. Then closesat 5:15 for the night so they can clean and leave by 6. Felt robbed on that 1. Staff is super nice but all the teen workersstart at 7am so you hear golf carts and shouting at 7:01. Rented a beach cabin and lock didn?t work upon arrival. When it was brought to front desks attention the response was ?yeah I... know, did you want someone to look at it?? Why did we even receive a key to the cabin if the lock didn?t work? And why was thisnot a big deal to anybody? After this and a phone call later and another front desk visit, no one EVER came to look at it. Itwas very clear they didn?t care about the safety of their guests. This place was unknown to me and I felt uncomfortable atnight. We rigged the furniture in front of the slider at night? The service in the restaurant was bad. Waitress had no timemanagement skills between tables. Food was ok. The tiki bar was closed by 3pm on a Sunday..? And clearly no management over theteens who run the place. Group of annoying teenagers causing havoc and cursing nonstop at the aqua pad. Lifeguards had nocontrol and took random breaks and closed it before 6pm. Whatever positives there are about the campground, and there are many, are all wiped out by the train. It blows its horn 4 times... each time it passes the campground as there is a crossing right next to it. All day and night. About every 20-40 minutes. If Ican?t sleep, I can?t enjoy the fun. A lot of families here with littles. I don?t know how they get their kiddos to sleep throughit. Maybe the resort should buy the house on the other side of the tracks and tear it down and eliminate the crossing. Again,great amenities, lots to do for a fun weekend. Area is beautiful. I really enjoyed the campground the views were awesome. Was really nervous about all the reviews of the trains. We were far... enough away to make it tolerable. It's part of commerce. I would have rated 5 star had it not been for the fact the aqua parkis not included in the price of the stay. We didn't take advantage of it because with multiple kids at $15 a person over a 3 dayvisit that is pretty pricey. I would like to see it included in the stay. Read more
