LOVE Flour Girl - by far my favorite small business in Hebron. It is truly the idyllic small town gathering place with ample... seating, nice people, and great food and coffee. Wish this place was closer to me downstate. I had my first visit there today as a favorite band [Inner Groove] was having their... debut. What a treat! Met some great folks, had some chat, sat outside on this gorgeous day and saw the staff hustling andbustling to take care of the customers. When I ordered, I was greeted with big smiles both times. Was visiting family in Columbia and Colchester, everyone recommended this café and bakery. On a crowded Saturday morning in a... shop full of children and parents, many of the kids being able to read, this should have been unacceptable. Everyone is familiarwith ?No shoes. No shirt. No service.? People understand that businesses have the right to maintain standards so that everyonecan enjoy themselves there. This person should have been asked to wait outside for his partner to bring the coffee, or to turnthe sweatshirt inside out. This is not about politics, and certainly not freedom of speech. He has every right to wear that, andsensible businesses have every right to deny him entry. It is freedom of speech, not freedom of any consequences. I had my wifeand daughter wait in the car until our order was done. It will be a one time experience for us all. Read more
