Best Italian in the high desert. This is a quaint, cozy spot where the owner or his son are present daily. A hidden gem, as I... probably said in my first review. I love to share this restaurant with friends and fellow foodies. I have been eating here forabout 5 years now. I can?t get enough of their food. The food is on point with consistency every time. I?ve never been let downor disappointed. I try to keep trying more things off the menu besides my favorites and find new favorites. I actually ate theretwice just this week. The Chicken Parmesan has a thin slice of eggplant on top which is out of this world. I pair mine withdouble capellini pasta side with extra marinara. The chicken is tender and flavorful. It?s my go to first choice here. Mysecond most ordered item is the capellini con pollo al pomodoro. I get mine without chicken usually, I just love this dishwithout the meat. The chicken Marsala was fork tender and is a mushroom and garlic lovers dream. The antipasto salad is hugewith piles of meat, tomatoes and cheese. I could probably drink their Italian dressing with no shame. The Polpettine, ormeatballs rather are perfectly flavored and juicy. The trancia di carne a la griglia Hugo style (spicy) is delicious. Steak andtheir sauce is a match made in heaven. The Alfredo, arrabbiata, and vodka sauce are amazing. My favorite is their marinarasauce. It?s perfect. The fried mozzarella is fresh triangle slices fried to perfection. The stracciatella soup is my favorite.The broth, spinach and egg is a great warming addition as a cup of soup to any meal or as a meal in the bowl option. The kidsmenu is perfect size for the price and my kids love eating their spaghetti and meatballs. Oh by the way the bread is fresh andamazing. Just the regular break and butter is a perfect start to any meal here. They also have a cheese bread appetizer but thefresh bread wins it for me. I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do. The atmosphere is fantastic. Smaller place that you would most likely miss, but well worth the stop. Never felt rushed by the... staff. They were VERY attentive. The owner even got out there and mingled with the tables (pretty funny guy). Highlyrecommended. It was our first visit, but we see many more to come. Read more
