We stop in here from time to time. It's a staple of Hillsboro. And we like to have lunch here while I get my car work done next... door. The food is above diner quality. Friendly staff. I think God himself may be whisking the eggs and pancake batter in the kitchen. My husband and I agreed that this is the best... breakfast we have ever had at a restaurant. The omelette was huge! The pancakes were perfection. The time from ordering toreceiving our meal was rather quick, and the ladies serving us were lovely...Sherry A was our waitress. I have been a customer of Hales for over 30 years. Overall, good food and service. However, today we ordered a French Dip... sandwich ($16.85) that was anything but. It was a bread sandwich with a thin single slice of beef. I took the time to pointthis out to our waitress. The unsatisfactory reply was that's always how the sandwich is prepared. No offer for reimbursementand no manager avai. We eat out frequently and always try to support our local businesses. Unfortunately, Hales has lost mybusiness forever.
