We held our daughter's wedding reception at the Inn and it was amazing. I honestly don't have a single complaint from beginning... to end. Elise was very patient as we had no idea what we were doing. She gave great guidance and support! Elise always answeredemails quickly and was easy to meet up with. She made me feel like I'd known her for years. We did decide to use their cateringservices and Rutland and staff we amazing! They had not done a taco bar before but created the best one I've seen. The food wasfantastic and they were willing to accommodate any ideas we had. The staff throughout the Inn were friendly and helpful. Ourfamily that stayed there said the Inn's brunch the next day was the best breakfast they had ever had! If you need to hold anevent and/or catering, you can't go wrong with the Colonial Inn. Food was excellent but service was lacking. We had 9 people which made it challenging for the server. Most announcements at... one end of the table were not heard by the other end of the table. We had a reservation, but the table was not ready. Wewaited in the lobby for the table to be set, but then not instructed when to sit down. Odd. Many items requested were eitherslow on delivery, or never delivered to the table. The request for separate checks seemed to annoy the waitress - even thoughthose arrangements had been requested at the time the reservation was made. Over all, it was not a friendly wecoming service. We just had our wedding at the Colonial and it was an exception experience. Elise and Rutland helped us with every detail and... the staff and venue were flawless in their execution. The event space is perfect for hosting all of the events, including acourtyard for the ceremony, a patio for cocktails, and a beautiful event room for the reception. Our guests had nothing but nicethings to say about the wedding. The honeymoon suite is also incredible! Read more

Great experience, old Building charm, but none of the old building smells, creaks, and discomforts. Air conditioned and really... a relaxing over night stay. Bar and restaurant excellent food and drink. Service was friendly and outstanding at the Inn andBar/restaurant. Morning coffee and pastry was very good. Would suggest not going on Mondays if you want to walk and visitother business. Most Hillsbourgh business closed on Monday evenings. Parking is at a premium, but available on street. Lotsof spaces after 7 PM. Read more
