Mostly bread. Could use more meat. Service is TERRIBLY slow. They don?t seem to know how to manage their process. Unfortunately,... they know there are not many options in town for a good sandwich and so they don?t have to do a good job or to be friendly withtheir customers. Food was decent. But had a very unpleasant experience with the manager. This manager does not care about his customers and lacks... basic human respect. My family was getting together for a day to support my mom who just started going through chemo. My sisterand I had both flown in. My sister has a newborn who is extremely allergic to several many types if food. Because of the risk mysister chose to bring her own food into this restaurant. After the rest of my family had ordered $60 worth of food we began toenjoy our lunch together before we were interrupted by the manager who told us that no outside food is allowed. He listened tomy sister explain the situation. He mentioned she could have ordered a lettuce wrap and said there were no exceptions to therule. This totally ruined the experience. We sat disappointedly for a few minutes before my dad went up to ask again explaininghow my mom is supposed to stay out of the sunlight due to cancer so we couldn?t even take our food outside to eat. Sadly, themanager refused saying again there were no exceptions and also specified that he wouldn?t allow outside food outside hisrestaurant either. We just wanted a nice afternoon meal together. First time visiting, August 28, 2022. Excellent sandwiches! Homemade bread is great. They do great with the toppings and don't... skimp. Prices are a bit high, but for what you're getting the value is there for sure. Building is really cool inside. Staff areexcellent. Situated right next to a flowing river. The soda is all cane sugar based, and it's great. It isn't large chain soda.We had the Double BA sandwich, and it was awesome. This is a hidden gem in Hillsdale. Try it out! I would DEF come back when in the area. We were in from Ohio and hadn't eaten all day except for coffee and it was 2. So, we... took a chance...AND HIT THE JACKPOT!???? I got the Handie Sandi which is basically a club but a few unique twists, including,horseradish cheddar, herb mayo and a 7" fresh French bread. UGH! Delicious! My wife had this Italian Stallion type sammy. Camewith capocol, provolone, pesto and salami. Of course we both added a few extras to personalize. It was really good and fresh. Wefinished with a homemade sugar cookie that was just a step above raw cookie dough, and I mean that in the best possible way.Facilties were clean, staff was friendly enough and it was quick.
