This was a wonderful restaurant that is open for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ate there twice, breakfast and lunch, on two... different days. Service was good and food came out fast. Everything was fresh and had authentic Hawaiian flare. Had the MaunaLoa waffles which was a Bavarian cream sandwich waffle with caramelized pineapples and macadamia nuts. It was to die for. Lunchwas the Big Island Sliders and the flavor was on point. Taro Buns with Kailua pig with coleslaw and island BBQ sauce. For awelcome treat at breakfast they gave Banana bread and lunch it was BBQ chips with a wonderful dipping sauce. The wait staff wasfriendly and responsive to refills and other needs. Staying at the SCP Hotel and didn?t want to drive anywhere so we had dinner here. No wait, but it appeared that there was one... hostess which she seated us and waited on us. While waiting for our food, was got a small plate of complimentary spinachartichoke dip - delicious. We ordered the Kalbi plate and the hibachi chicken plate. The brown rice was hard, the potato saladwas yummy with a mix of regular and sweet potato. Both main entrees were delicious, but?they were very sweet! Like they weremarinated for a long time. We went here for breakfast. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with crab cakes and Lilikoi French Toast. The eggs were poached easy. I... am not used to eggs benedict being runny. The food was good. The Staff here are complete sweethearts!!!! This was my second favorite place to eat in Hilo as we did 3 times. We showed up at... 9:15 when they closed at 930 (we didn?t know) and they didn?t hesitate to seat us. We even asked to make it to go, and theyrefused and welcomed us. I had the Prime Rib Dip twice!!! It?s excellent! The onion rings and French fries are spectacular. Ialso had the Pasta Primavera and added on crab cakes which we AMAZING. My wife had both of those as well, and a burger whichshe loved. This to me is another MUST DO. I wish I could remember all of the servers names. They were so helpful and opened upto us like we were family. I will miss this place but will always remember it. Thank you Coconut Grill!!!! Read more
