Great place to get a meal, Quick and friendly service and good portions you won't leave hungry!
Not what I expected. Ordered sweet and sour chicken, chow mein, and fried rice and didn't care for the taste compared to other... traditional Chinese restaurants. The egg rolls were good though. I am sure some of their other dishes may be alright but firstimpressions mean a lot, as this was my first time eating at Formosa, so next time I have a desire for this type of food I willchoose a different place. Imop a Chattanooga institution unchained by time. It’s been the same since I was a kid going in the 90s. The food is always... good and so is the service. Also has some good vegetarian option. I love the formosa green beans and low main. Read more
This place serves nothing but over-priced rubbish. The food is so bad that I didn't even want it so I bagged it up and took it... to a public trash can so it wouldn't stink up my own garbage. The owners should be absolutely embarrassed to serve suchgarbage. Read more

I am 57 and used to come to Formosa when I was in my 30's. Unfortunately things never stay the same and unfortunately it... pertains to Formosa. My husband and I only wanted something small for lunch so we ordered the Pu Pu Platter. Meat was tough, eggrolls tasted spoiled, chicken fingers were on it and some kind of appetizer that I had never seen before. Disappointing! Thisplatter used to be great!
