Great sushi and great service. Plus it?s BYOB which is great. And it?s reasonably priced
I thought I had found the best sushi in Hoboken, but I was sadly mistaken. The first couple times I had no real complaints -... yes, there were flies hovering my table the entire time, but I thought the food was decent enough so I was able to look past it.The more I went however, the more I realized how the quality will fluctuate every time you're there. Sometimes its decent, buttonight it was very low-tier. After being completely dissatisfied with my sushi rolls (I left an entire roll on the plate), Icommunicated to the waiter that the food was not good today. I also told the waiter, "you know, there are a ton of flies inhere". She said "french fry?" "no flies, bugs, all over the place" as i swatted the flies that had made a home on my plate. "Ohyou want a box". I googled "flies" and showed her a picture of what I was talking about. She laughed and said "I know I know, doyou want a box". I received the check and paid in full for the sushi I did not eat, as they seemingly did not care whethertheir customers left satisfied or not. I am also confident that they will never address the bug infestation in the restaurant.It gets worse the further you are seated towards the back, coincidentally where they are preparing your food. Yum. I gave 2stars because on the off chance you're there on a good night, the sushi can be halfway decent. I would just make sure to sitoutside or as close to the front door as possible unless you want to spend your evening picking flies out of your spicy mayo. Read more
Had the spider ramen which was delicious and filling. Had zero wait time but got busy real quick. Service was good.
So delicious and clean tasting. I luv this place! I always get the fried rice or udon with vegetables in a stir fry teriyaki... sauce and it is absolutely AMAZEBALLS!!! Things to note: call ahead, pay ahead, and parking is tough. It's best to arrive on 4thSt. and request curbside, if they're not too busy to accommodate.
