My family and I tried New Empire for the fist time tonight and it was AMAZING. We ordered Gen Tso, shrimp fried rice, crispy... beef, beef lo main, squid in black bean curd sauce, pork egg rolls, and egg drop soup ( as well as two rum Buddha cocktails thatwere fireee). Literally everything was on point, a little pricier than some other places but well worth it honestly. 10/10 wouldrecommend and 10/10 will be going back. Absolute.freaking.fire. Read more

Hubby and I usually share and the lunch portion sweet and sour chicken was adequate, considering it came with wonton soup and... fried rice. We liked it and will return as it's the best we have found in this area. Read more

I've frequented this location a couple of times over several years. From my understanding ownership has changed which is... reflected in the quality of food which has diminished. My daughter and I stopped in for a quick dinner. We asked the waitresswhat was included with the meal and she told us rice was included we asked if we could substitute fried rice she said yes. Ourmeals came with fried rice and we were charged for it. That would not have been a big deal had she informed us, additionally sheargued with me that she did not tell us this. Will not go back Read more

We went there for Xiao long bao, however they did not carry any. We got dumplings instead which were okay. Wrappers were very... thick . And the only lobster dish they had which was okay ish. 2 stars because cutlery were very very old plus the sake servingset was dirty - had black stains inside. Read more

I saw the warning signs when I walked in the door, but went in anyway. I wanted to sit at the bar but it was fully occupied. The... young man tried to seat me by a table with four including 2 kids and there were only two other tables occupied in the place. Iasked to sit away from the other people and he complied. Then he gave me water and a menu and said “it’s gonna be a whilebecause we are eating dinner.” Who doesn’t put paying customers first, or if not, who tells them to their face theyaren’t important? I thought about walking out right then but I was hungry for Chinese and waited for a couple of minutes forthe waitress to come by and take my order. The bar was full because the employees were sitting at it and eating. The food camequickly with a large portion, but It was absolutely the worst lo mein I’ve ever had. It was made with skinny, kinky ramennoodles, few vegetables (carrots, peas, mushrooms only) and an inedible sauce. I’ve had lo mein at a number of restaurantsbut never one made with skinny ramen noodles. The waitress did offer to make something else when I told her I didn’t like it,but if you can’t make a good lo mein can you make anything else? I ate the few vegetables and ate at chilis across the street. Read more
