We have visited this restaurant in the past. This visit honestly surpassed any previous visit. Upon arrival we realized that the... decoration of the restaurant had been upgraded to a nice cozy yet modern field with music that complemented the location and theambience. We got greeted by the hostess and seated rapidly for our dinner reservation. Shortly after sitting down our servercame to our table, introduce himself, and took our drink orders. I realize that there was a brand new menu of custom cocktailscreated by this restaurant so I decided to try one. I wasn’t familiar with all the ingredients but I took a leap of faith andI ordered a cocktail that included chicha morada purée and it was refreshing and just bitter enough. We proceeded to order twodishes. Being a Peruvian restaurant we opted for a trio of Ceviches. We also order a dish that we were not familiar with but itlooked very innovative. It was a risotto with huancaina and lomo saltado. The ceviche was mixto (mixed seafood) and it included3 types of ceviche. Being from Peru I’m very critical when it comes to the foot of my country, the ceviche was perfectlychilled, it was perfectly spicy, and the seasoning was spot on. The cuts in the fish were precise and proper, the seafood mixwas not over cooked. The presentation was just beautiful, this was a true pleasure to eat. Now onto the risotto. I didn’t knowwhat to expect from this dish but the combination sounded very enticing. At first I took a fork and I tasted the sauce on top,the Los Altos sauce. That sauce along can be put on a car bumper and I would eat it, it was that delicious. The risotto wascooked to perfection, creamy, cheesy and well seasoned. The huancaina flavor holds its place against the lomo saltado sauce. Themeat was cooked medium as requested, and the sautéed onion and tomatoes has an incredible “saltado” aroma that rounded offthe dish making it a total hit for it. Only two stars because looks like they have a good cheff (food taste was good) but he wasn’t around and the cook prepping my... food doesn’t know what medium well meat is (see pic). Also I ordered the food to go and the guy taking the order over thephone ask me 2 times to leave a tip even though is to go food… but he couldn’t make sure my meat was cook properly, me andmy wife had to guess which food belong to who and forgot to leave my spicy sauce on the side for me to add myself to theceviche… I don’t think I will return to this place Read more
I recommend this restaurant (Boca Raton-FL) for “ceviche”. 1st time here. Atmosphere nice. We try different ceviches... (CEVICHE SAMPLER) and was really good!! The service by the female waiter (from DR) was excellent. You can eat at the patio area(see picture)or inside. If you have Kids you will find a Kid’s section on the Menu (3 options, see photo). Tried Runas Peruvian Cuisine for lunch after enjoying The Boca Raton Hotel for the weekend . The food was amazing, i tried the... Risotto on Huancaina sauce with filet minion wow pleas tried if you can. The pisco sour was on point and the service was greateven though we were a table of 8. Will definitely come back again. I tried the Ceviche Runas and Chaufa Runas. The ceviche was tasty and it didn't taste like a classic ceviche, so it took me a... couple tastes to get used to. The Chaufa Runas was pretty average, the sauce was a little salty, the meat was tough, and therice itself was a little bland. The portion was good, but I don't think I would order that again.
