While I have gone to gca for shows, regrettably, I hadn't tried Judd's. Luckily, I had the opportunity to try the cuisine and... cocktail offerings during the Czechtoberfest. The food was terrific. Everything single thing we ordered was amazing. The hotfood offerings were mainly stews with dumplings but each carried it's own specific experience, vastly different in execution,flavor, and complexity. The best part about the food was that sense of comfort, a feeling that rarely leaves the confines ofhome when enjoying a family recipe passed down for generations. There's heart, soul, and years of pride in what I atetoday. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend. Read more

Judd?s is a wonderful dining experience in a beautiful old brick paper mill. Every meal was fabulous comfort food prepared... perfectly and beautifully presented. Try the short rib! The cocktails were creative and delicious. We tried (and finished) allof the desserts - especially loved the Chocolate Pot de Crème! The service was prompt and attentive and super friendly. We really wanted to love this place. The cocktails were good and the space was cozy on a chilly fall evening. Unfortunately, our... server took forever getting drinks, disappeared several times before taking our order, and, at one point, seemed to be arguingwith the bartender. When our food arrived, I was given schnitzel rather than the pork roll I had ordered. The bartender cameover after I pointed this out, then walked away without the schnitzel and came back several minutes later to tell me the kitchenwas out of pork roll. At that point, he announced he would comp the schnitzel as if this settled the matter. First off, it's notreally comping to leave something the diner never ordered. Second, I avoid wheat. That said, I was hungry enough to scrape thebreading off the schnitzel and eat the dry, bland bit of fatty pork underneath. My daughter's small serving of risotto was notso much risotto as mushroom-flavored spackling paste. My other daughter's pork and bread dumplings were tasty. In the end, theserver never said a word about the mix-up, never mind apologizing for it. And the bartender could have done a much better jobsetting things right if he'd asked me what other dish I might want to replace the pork roll, or ACTUALLY comped something, likeour drinks. As we walked out, he offered to "get us in for free" if we came to the concert/Oktoberfest event they weresponsoring the next day. Needless to say, we declined. Read more
