PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Uncle Johns BBQ has terrible business practices, and they are not willing to take... accountability for their haphazardness. Firstly, they gave the me wrong order and charged me $45 dollars for some Turkey tipsthat were no more an $20- I also ordered 7 hot links and received NONE. I am aware of the policy that you need to check yourorder- and that they have a sign, however this is their way of not taking responsibility for their incompetence in basic readingand comprehension. Who messes up Turkey tips and Hot links?? On top of that, the food was especially lacklustre. I advise you toSTAY AWAY, but If you go there, no matter what- PLEASE CHECK YOUR ORDER. POOR Customer Service: 1. My colleague called to place an order to be picked up and the manager told her "You're not done. I... hate group orders. I have a line in front of me." 2.Once my colleague arrived the same guy told her "I was about to give yourfood away--you're late." 3. Once my colleague returned to work we discovered that an ordered item was missing. The receiptreflected she'd paid for it. She called to report this and indicated that I'd arrive between 3:15 and 3:30 to pickup the itemand provided my name. No apology was given to my colleague. 4. I arrived at the restaurant at 3:22 p.m. and provided my name andthe item I was picking up. STILL NO APOLOGY WAS GIVEN. I was told "Okay, hold on a minute." One young man was talking andpacking a bag of food while another waved a customer to get out of their car to come in to collect food. After 5 minutes, Iasked "Is the dirty rice actually ready or are you preparing it?" The response was "It's right here" pointing to a to-gocontainer on the counter and then placing it in a bag without a single 'sorry about that' or 'we apologize for the wait'. LOWQUALITY Food: 1. Chicken tasted as if it were fried in the same oil used for chicken in 2019 2. Ribtips were not tender and hadan okay taste I find this establish to be an utter disgrace to the community and will NOT support it ever again! Oftentimes weare encouraged to support Black businesses but apparently the owners and employees of Uncle John's fail to realize that peopledesire good service and patronizing establishments who treat their customers with respect and gracious hospitality (I wasn'teven greeted when I approached the cash register when I entered the restaurant) regardless of the owner's skin color. Duebetter, please, because right now you are an embarrassment to excellent black businesses on the area and if you keep up thisunacceptable behavior you'll soon find yourself with NO customers. Homewood location: Ordered a Jumbo rib tip and 2 chicken wing dinner. Unfortunately, I have to give a 2 star for taste. The rib... tasted old considering it was after 3pm. One of the cooks was eating outside and tossed his container in the outside garbagecan and didn't wash his hands upon entering the store and proceeded to eat chicken with his bare hands. Ordered small tip. It consists of 7 tips maybe hand full of fries. My first time ordering from them. DEFINITELY last. Tried... calling to talk to someone but no answer. VERY disappointed VERY. 15dollars for small tip. Food not that good either. Read more
