Things have really changed here, and not for the good! New ownership/management ??? No familiar faces at all. VERY inexperienced... server couldn't answer basic questions. I asked about the vegetable of the day and she said "mixed vegetables." I asked if theywere canned and she said, "I don't know. Probably." Never offered to find out. My husband ordered meatloaf and I ordered RoastTurkey. He said his meatloaf was not good at all, very dense, dry, and hard. I didn't even eat my dinner, other than the mashedpotatoes and salad. The turkey arrived covered in YELLOW gravy which was obviously NOT made by them. And I understand why itwasn't homemade, they had nothing to make it from. The turkey was not freshly roasted turkey. It looked and tasted like thickslices of deli smoked turkey lunch meat. There was a square of stuffing underneath that was so salty it was inedible. I askedfor cranberry sauce and was told "we don't have any." Very disappointing! When I paid the check, the hostess said "how waseverything?" I said "not great." She never asked anything further or commented. She gave me my change and said "have a niceevening." By the time we left, I heard 2 other guests comment that their meals were not very good. This makes me sad becausewe're local and have been there many times. Not sure what has changed there but we are unlikely to return. Read more
Based on other Google reviews, we were very excited to try Wimpy & Dee's Diner! The menu has a nice variety, the decor and... music were great. The food was absolutely *fine*. Onion rings weren't the best I've ever had, fries were okay, burger wasactually a little dry (supposed to be medium). My friend's Monte Cristo looked like a limp sourdough sandwich from Denny's: nobatter, no powdered sugar, no jelly. She had to add the table jelly to make it better. My other friend enjoyed her Pastramibut ended up with bathroom troubles that evening. I would try it again, but I would keep my hopes a little more measured as itis a cool place to visit. Read more
Honestly i got really sick off their food. I wanted to stop for a quick lunch. So ordered clam strips off the menu. Nice place,... decent service the food came out and in my basket I found fried shrimp, onion rings and some unidentifiable fried objects in mybin mixed with the clam strips. I just regular clam strips. I love clam strips. There was so many weird things mixed in with myfood. I wanted to complained when I got the bin with those damn objects in it but I wanted to give this place the benefit of thedoubt. I liked the theming and got decent reviews. So I consumed the food but when walked out my stomach really began to hurtthen when I came home man the flood gates opened at both ends. Oh man I suffered for it for two days straight. Such a cute little place. Friendly staff, budget friendly. Great stop on our mini vacation. Never seen lemon packages in the... form of sugar but these were so cool! Prefer them over an actual lemon, less messy. Read more
