Quiet authentic japanese dining experience. I ordered chefs selection of sashimi, sushi and a bowl of clam miso soup. The... sashimi was ultra fresh and just the right quantity for 2 of us. However, i must admit my wife ate very little and I finished90% of both sushi and sashimi. No tummy aches or GI issues from this meal. I mention this because sometimes if i consume toomuch raw fish, i regret it 2 to 3 hrs later. I highly reccomend this place! Read more
Not the serene and classy zen like dining experience my family had on previous occasions. The room was filled with loud ... children and parents having no control over them. What used to be an upscale teppanyaki dining experience has become a highpriced meal, mediocre at best. The sushi was an insult, served with miniscule portions of badly cut seafood and poorly preparedrice. A person who appeared to be a manager was pleasant and friendly, in contrast to our waitperson who came off as cold anduninterested. She greeted us by stating, "I'm in training". It was clearly obvious as she was unfamiliar with the cocktailmenu and other food items. The good part of the evening's experience was that I am certain never to return or recommend thisestablishment to people I care for and respect. My previous dining experiences here were actually very exquisite andsatisfying, just as good as the teppanyaki restaurants in Japan. Our one fancy dinner during our 1 week vacation stay. I have to say, it did not disappoint! Do not be fooled with the small... portions, after you finish the entire course you will be left satisfied. Everything was so dainty and intricately presented, Irecommend you coming here for a special occasion. As the atmosphere and the service was impeccable. We opted for thetraditional Japanese dinner over the tepaniaki side of this restaurant. We ordered the toki and irodori set course to share justthe two of us. Our server mentioned that it is quiet popular for couples to do that. Be prepared to sit for a while, the dinnertook us 2.5 hours to complete but for a more fine dining experience, I expected it. Very very very tasty.. loved every single menu we ordered (home made tofu, grilled yellowtail collar, grilled miso glazed black... cod, eel with rice and cold noodle. Can't say enough to compliment this place!!! Read more
