What an amazing experience! Had a reservation at 8pm but they were able to seat us a little early. Ordered the chef's selection... sake to complement the chef's choice style dining of omakase. Everything was beautifully prepared and delicious. I liked somethings more than others but it was all worth trying and very filling. Definitely a pricey bill for 2 people but super worth it.Note that you can stop the food coming and not get sake if you're trying to lighten the tab. Read more
Alright, Sasabune was great. Delicious even. It was also quite expensive but worth it at the time at nearly $500 for the both of... us. Reason for the 3 stars? It was the only meal my wife and I shared this week because she works all the time. Every other mealI had with my kids and we are both sick today on a Saturday after eating at Sasabune on Thursday night. Used to be our go to spot for anniversary and other big life things. This year when we went it was 500$ for two of us (we... naturally finished the course). It used to be about 300$ for the same meal. Don't get me wrong their sushi is quiteamazing....I don't think its 500$ amazing. We probably won't be back anytime in the near future. Read more
Best sushi I?ve ever had! Every piece was delicious. Service was excellent. I?ll definitely go back when in the islands again.

My wife and I were let down by the experience, as well as the taste of the food. Oily and fried do not equal an upscale Omakase... experience. I should have left when I noticed the toaster oven placed prominently in the chefs workspace. Many guests stoppedthe courses early as a way to save money, as the total cost exceeds $250 per person. Some of the sushi was well prepared butoverall the lobster and oysters received in tinfoil made me feel like I was on an episode of hells kitchen... I recommend SushiSho for an amazing Omakase experience, I would have happily paid $60 for my experience at Sasabune. Lastly the staff recommendmiso soup to end the meal and "settle the stomach". It was one of the more flavorful parts, but the idea that we need to settlestomachs after 14 courses is evidence that the menu should be reconsidered and focus on the raw fish. Read more
