Live there steam clam and the Yakitori chicken wing. So delicious. Pork belly was a bit hard to chew. Fried chicken wings were... too salty. The chicken ramen was okay. There were not many non alcoholic drinks so we just had ice water. Overall very good vibeof izakaya. Reminds me of Japan a ton. Decent Yakitori and not bad the price. Would probably go again if I’m in Honolulu. Read more

I'm glad we were able to try this place out. When walking in there, you can already feel it's going to be good. We ordered a... variety of items to share and everyone ended up satisfied. Everything that we ordered tasted great. Some of the standoutsinclude the watercress salad, tsukune, sukiyaki, corn karaage, miso ribs and donburi. The skewers were cooked over a specialwood in the counter area. I would come here again and may try to get a seat at the counter to see all the action. Read more

I’ve been frequenting this restaurant for years. Consistently great, quality food. Superb Yakitori, Dassai 45 sake, excellent... service. I recommend ordering the course, makes it easy (and the goods just keep on coming). This place feels like being inTokyo. Read more

My family and I had an excellent meal here last weekend. Call ahead and make reservations as it filled up quickly. Parking-... there is a paid parking lot up the street at the corner of Pauahi + Bishop. $4/ hour, we were in and out of the restaurant inless than 2 hours. We had our meal at 5pm and were promptly seated. Restaurant has a no mask, no entry policy, but once thefood arrived, no issue with having masks off for remainder of meal. We ordered the butabara (pork belly), momo (chicken thigh),sukiyaki (beef with veggies), A5 wagyu, and a few other yakitori skewers. We enjoyed them all! We especially liked the sukiyakiskewer. It is served with a raw egg yolk and was really delicious! The Yakitori chef was working hard and can be seen front andcenter of the restaurant preparing yakitori with great effort. Thank you chef! The owner of the restaurant and our server werefriendly and explained what dishes entailed. Having been to the Yakitori Hachibei in Hakata, Fukuoka as well, this was awonderful meal that brought me back to my time in Japan. Definitely order the watercress salad and the corn karaage. Both weredelicious! We also got the tebasaki wings with Hachibei sauce which was full of flavor. Read more

Foods are tasty. So juicy and well seasoned. Beef tongue is a bomb. The pork and egg york are a great match. 1 Point off for... being paying $70 per person and not feeling full at all. I don't eat much. Might be a good place for you to order just a fewfood and drink with your friends to kill time Read more
