We had the pleasure of dining while in Hot Springs at Buffalo Dreamer. Our host was very accommodating and knowledgeable. He... explained each item on the menu when asked. Our appetizer was the cheese tray, excellent! Our main course was presented timelyand looked appealing. I had the chicken, which was absolutely perfect. So many flavors that I haven’t had before. This isdefinitely a 5 Star I highly recommend. Read more

Prepare for an experience that must not be rushed. (it was 2 1/2 hours from reservation to check) we were the last table for... dinner, but it was so worth it. We were nice and relaxed from the hot spring spa and sipped some delicious Moscato with oursmall plates. We ended up getting all 3, smoked salmon blinis, an extraordinary cheese plate and a surprisingly delightfulwatermelon jalapeno salad. My husband got the steak of the day which was cooked perfectly and the bite I had was delicious. Ihad the barramundi sea bass with a heavenly green chutney sauce. Clearly every single ingredient is painstakingly thought outbefore touching your plate. We ended with a mutant mashup of chocolate and matcha cashew butter or something. It was lick thebowl good. One of the best meals of 2022 here, and we travel all over the country as truck drivers and food is our guiltypleasure! Read more

I have a deep appreciation for farm to table and made to order dining, but nearly two hours for three patrons to have two... appetizers, two entrees, and four total drinks is egregious. Especially on a Thursday night when they weren't that busy. Theentrees didn't show up until nearly an hour and a half in. It took a solid 30-40 minutes to get drinks. While we really likedthe server and his demeanor, I'm not sure if he was over tasked or if it was a kitchen efficiency issue causing the delays. Thebeer is definitely overpriced too which didn't help matters. The food was honestly really good and beautifully presented, butthe frustration of having to wait so painfully long for service and ordered items really soured the experience as a whole. Ifthey can get a better handle on kitchen efficiency I think this place will be a real delight for locals and visitors alike. Read more

I wanted to join in on singing the praises of Buffalo Dreamer! Wow. We didn't know what to expect as it is a small place (7... tables?) in Hot Springs (small town!) but what a special find. It is an intimate, high quality TREASURE in the Black Hills. TheCheese plate app, Moscato, Swimming Angel and Steak dinner were the best flavors we've ever had. It's hard to describe, you haveto experience it. It is not a fast food diner so make sure to order a lovely drink and an app as each plate is intimatelyprepared and take some time to perfect. Such an enjoyable experience, nothing like it around! Read more

All I can say is WOW!! This place is such a fantastic experience. Creative, beautiful, and delicious food and drinks, as well as... excellent service. We had a watermelon salad, cheese plate (one of the best ever?? That herbed honey was mind-blowing!). Weclosed the meal out with two desserts: a strawberry, chocolate, chia concoction, and a banger of an affogato. If we are everback in town, we will be sure to return. One of those meals to remember.
