Our first time in. We walked in the front door and you are in a waiting area, there is no information about seating or where to... go, no staff spoke to us and we were obviously at a loss about how to get a table. We finally asked a customer and she led usfurther inside to a small notepad that you write your name in and then wait. Again, no information on how to do this, I am sureafter waiting 15 minutes most people just turn around and leave. The food is low end cafeteria style at best. Instant mashedpotatoes, sad Mac and cheese, greasy chicken fried steak. The catfish came out raw and my date didn't touch it, I asked thewaitress and she said the cook says it looks done to him but he could be wrong. How sorry. The dessert tasted store bought. Ifyou are looking for old musty cafeteria food, this is the place. Nothing is homemade or cooked fresh. We should have turnedaround and left after no one acknowledged our existence. I have no idea how this place has over 4 stars other than the localshave no where else to go and haven't experienced much. *update: Management responded to my review with an absolutely closedmind. They are clueless that you have to walk through the dining room to find the hostess stand. They also think because theyhave good reviews that negates my dining experience. And the waitress did say she would bring our experience to a manager onlyto say the cook thought it looked ok to him. No one serves mashed potatoes with a scoop and canned gravy. I could go on but it'spointless, they simply don't care enough to change. Read more

Stopped in for lunch as we were driving by because hubs saw "Turkey and Dressing" on the sign. It is one of their Saturday... specials. He really enjoyed it. The green beans were very blah, almost bitter. They were definitely can beans but could havebeen okay if they were seasoned. I got the Aundrea's Spinach Salad. It was wonderful. I'm glad I got the small, because I alsogot a cup of their delicious Tomato Basil soup. Very basil forward and thick. Just perfect. Now the service....terrible. Therewas definitely tension between the wait staff, the 1 girl who we thought was our waitress took our order then we never saw heragain. The girl who brought our food had no idea we ordered soup. So we got that late. Never had anyone check on us, refill ourempty drinks, or even bring us a check. We wanted dessert but it wasn't offered. Hubs finally went to the waitress area wherethings were tense and got rang up. We would love to go back and give them another try. Hopefully they work out their front ofthe house issues. Read more

Every menu item has been great; their chicken fried chicken is outstanding, as is their turkey dinner. The chef?s salad is... terrific! Drive through or dine in. Don?t forget dessert! Read more

What a great experience! This cozy little place has all kinds of home-style cooking with delicious flavors and fast, friendly... service. We started off with a 3-choices appetizer, settling on fried zucchini, cheese sticks, and fried pickles, but easilycould have done fried green tomatoes or mushrooms. Tough decisions had to be made. I had an open-faced roast beef sandwich withmashed potatoes, black-eyed peas and greens. It was all fantastic! Still, I envied the other meals my family ordered, with somegood looking sandwiches, soup, and fries. We didn?t get any dessert, but I got a nice treat at the end when the bill arrived. This meal was cheaper than any with all of us eating out in a long time. We?ll definitely be back, and we don?t even live here! Read more
