Wife and I enjoyed brunch here, this past weekend. I tried their Cajun Eggs Benedict. My eggs were well cooked. The hollandaise... sauce is flavorful, and the crawfish was well seasoned. My wife tried their Oxtail, with sweet potatos and collard greens. TheOxtail was deliciously tender and juicy. The greens were very well seasoned, and the sweet potatoes are insanely sweet. Thestaff there is very friendly and easy to talk to. I especially enjoyed how homely the environment felt, with pictures from theowner's personal albums. I must admit at first, I was a bit disappointed with my order. For my time, my oxtails were burned and I was really craving... them. We called the restaurant and the customer service was excellent. They offered a refund or replacement order and I honestlydid not want a refund because I wanted to patronize this black owned business. So on my second order, I gotten oxtails plateagain and a order of the shrimp and grits. It was sooo delicious! The oxtails were tender and flavorful! The mac and cheese weresoo cheesy and tasty! The mashed potatoes were so garlicky and creamy! The shrimp and grits were very delicious! This particularstyle reminds me of the Charleston grit cakes! they were super moist and cooked to perfection! the shrimp were cooked justright! I visited a few nights ago for dinner with my husband and 2 sons. The staff was very friendly. There were a lot of people... picking up "to-go" orders and the restaurant started to fill up as we ate. We ordered the Voodoo rolls which were very yummy. My husband order the Shrimp and grits. I ordered the Cajun Faith pasta dish and both sons ordered the chicken fried chicken. Itasted the mashed potatoes. There were amazing. All the meals were delicious and we will definitely be coming back. I'd reallylike to try the Brunch and the Ox Tail. Oxtails are so good! They are big, seasoned perfectly and not too full of fat like some oxtails can be. I also tried the Cajun... pasta...the spice level was just right with delicious flavors!
