Food was flavorful. Didn't know the 'seafood' section was more for appetizers, but the toro tataki (fatty tuna with raw quail... egg) was fresh, and gindara (smoked Alaskan black cod) was very flavorful with a great crisp! The starters were great. The agedashi tofu contained an ample amount of bonito flakes. The yakitori was one of the best I had in... a while. It was super tender and juicy and the phenomenal sauce was lathered on generously. The chirashi (made to accommodateshellfish allergy) tasted good and the plating was pleasing to the eye. The Sukiyaki portion was huge. The glass noodles,veggies, tofu and beef were soaked in the flavorful broth. Nippon is definitely worth another visit in the future. Love the cozy, intimate vibe. There are indoor and outdoor seating options, and the patio is decorated with paper lanterns. The... sushi is very good quality for the price! The caterpillar roll was our favorite, but everything was delicious, even the cheapestrolls. The service is also great.
