Ordered food from there. Had it delivered to me. Someone was knocking on my door. I asked who it was and no one said anything. ... After an hour went by, I tried to call to ask where?s my order. It goes straight to a recording and I never got my food. Itappeared that my number was blocked and a transaction was made from my bank. So disappointed! China River reminded my husband and me and me of the Chinese restaurant where we went as college kids on lunch dates nearly 30... yrs ago, complete with paper Zodiac placemats. :) We ordered very different lunch specials: I got shrimp with vegetables,steamed rice and hot & sour soup. He chose sesame chicken with fried rice and wonton soup. We both asked for our dishes to bemade spicy, and we both really enjoyed the generous portions. If I could give this establishment zero stars or negative stars then I would. The atmosphere of this place was warm, friendly,... welcoming, and amicable. However, I have strong disdain for the meal that I delighted myself in yesterday. The rice washalf-cooked; barely any vegetables in the Mongolian beef combo; portion of the meat was diminished. Even the egg rolls werebelow sub par. This is the best explanation that I could give based on the horrible encounter I had with the food. China Riverin 2013 did not taste like what I had yesterday. I Dined in the restaurant hires Hispanics that have a poor understanding of English. One of the men that refill drinks took one... drink from our table and a drink from the customer behind us. The only way we knew they had mixed up the drinks and gave us theother customers drink was because we had our own color straw that was different than the black straws they use. The waitress andso called Manager name Mireya or something similar would not give us a fresh drink or new cup after their mistake. A fresh newdrink in a clean cup should be a no brainer especially with Covid and other viruses going on, but the staff refused to do so.Every attemp to contact the manager/owner was a dead end. I will not return, nor recommend and I will tell all I know to avoiddue to poor customer service and the careless rude staff/owners. Update: went by establishment and tried to ask owner lady inphoto kindly she came out nastily and refused to remove our photo she refused even after she admitted the customer who?s drinkwas switch paid for their mistake.
