This is one of the most authentic central-western Mexican food places I have been to. I have been looking far and wide for... some western Mexico food (not Tex-Mex) in the Houston area and I finally found it! Just walking into the place I feel like I?min Mexico: besides the delicious food, the decor, the friendliness of the staff, and even the ordering system. You request whatyou want, have a seat and pay when you are ready. The place is very modest, no-frills, clean, and inviting. This is my 3rdtime visiting this week. Can?t recommend it enough. Well we decided to try this new place. It's not far and the reviews are good. The place was clean and the decor festive... inviting. This place is not just a place to eat but also a place to purchase things from Mexico, fruits n veggies, drinks and ofcourse Mexican candies. I like that the place makes homemade corn tortillas. They offer many options of fresh drinks just likethey do in Mexico. I ordered the Huarache with fajita, It was delicious. I also tried the barbacoa, it was a bit dry (barbacoais usually very oily) i prefer it not so oily but it also lacked salt, still not bad at all. My wife ordered the plate lunchwith 2 Meats rice n beans with queso fresco. She enjoyed her plate too. I do have to say the fried chicharrones you can buy onthe side were so good. The guy gave us some to try with our meal....so good! We will definitely be going back for more. Thedownside side was the A/C was not wrking right so the place was a bit hot, to be fair it was 102 degrees outside so the A/C wasstruggling. They ice machine was broken too, no bueno when it's triple digits HOT outside. I'm still a fan of the place, can'twait to go again. UPDATE: we returned for round 2.
