Such a special place. The rooms are cozy, the food is excellent and the views are spectacular. Feels like a true ?get away from... it all? escape. Have not stayed inside but the views must be spectacular, from pretty much any point of this place. However this review is about... food. Reading so many revving reviews about their restaurant headed off for a lunch with friends, definitely thinking to takeadvantage of those views. The views did not disappoint. The food did. A price tuna sandwich with little flavor just canned tunaon a toast? Other sandwiches were not that much more impressive. If i ever come back, that would be for the views... Read more

Resort is cozy and clean. For the most part the accommodations were great. They let the hot water run out on the first day of... our stay so we couldn?t shower until evening. BIG drop of the ball. For a lodge everything gets a late start as there is nocoffee anywhere until 8am so if you are an early bird plan on driving to the Cumberland Farms. The food was amazing and wellworth if even if you are not staying here. They must absolutely STOP with the incense in the room. It?s overpowering and made menauseated. The bed frames are dangerous and rounding of the corners should really be considered. Read more

We hosted a corporate retreat for 35 people at Scribner's and were stunned by the helpfulness of everyone on staff, the... beautiful settings (gorgeous scenery and lovely 'high-class rustic' interior), the quality of the food and drinks, and thehelpful suggestions we received while planning our very particular event. We asked a lot of the Scribner's team and theydelivered beautifully, staying flexible, available and communicative through the whole planning process and especially once wewere on site. Our group especially enjoyed having an activity in the beautiful garden, the no-cook appetizer and fermentationclass that Scribner's organized, and the way the lodge facilitated both large group meetings as well as so many more privatesettings where our guests could have meetings or unwind in smaller groups. We struggled to organized transport for ourinternational guests but managed by working with several taxi companies in the area (also recommended by Scribners), so ifyou're willing to put in a little effort on transport then Scribner's will take care of literally everything else and yourentire group will love this venue!
