I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Cafe Buenos Aires. I do think that their prices are a tad steep, but for a once in a... while visit the quality of the food makes up for it. The abonigas had great texture and the sauce had a delicious flavor. Thegnocchi/scallop tapa was a great pairing - fluffy gnocchi and very lightly fried scallops. My girlfriend loved the branzinospecial and I found the skirt steak to be nicely seasoned. The chimichurri is a little different from what I have had before (alittle spicier perhaps?), but still quite good. We opted for the chocolate fondue and the churros for dessert and were notdisappointed. The presentation of fruit for the fondue was very cool and the churros had the perfect texture for me (mygirlfriend enjoyed them but said they were a touch crunchy for her taste -- didn't stop her from eating her share!) On a Saturday night, I decided to come here on a whim. Called up to make a reservation and the hostess told me she would have a... table for 2 for myself and my partner ready. (I specifically asked her if I was able to get a table for four, because I did notwant to be sitting on top of other people, and feeling like they were part of my party) which she agreed. Upon entering therestaurant, the place was crowded and understandably the older gentleman working at the front (not the woman I spoke to) deniedus the table of 4. What annoyed me was his abbrassiveness and inability to talk to customers. We decided to stay, and thereforeput in a small table that we could barely move our arms. However, the waitress was professional, a sweetheart and made the nightmore bearable. The food took over 45 minutes, the service was extremely slow and we had dirty plates all over our very tinytable. I could barely move without hitting anything. I ordered the skirt steak which was great, but the rice was too sticky anda mess. The empanadas were just okay, and the patatas bravas was not the original recipe from Spain. It was more like boiledpotatoes with sauce, peppers. Ultimately, don’t think because your customers are in their late 20’s they are not going tospend any money and put them in the corner. $200 dollars for mediocre food and poor service, working in the food industrythat’s not acceptable. This place is solidly mediocre and fairly expensive. At $15-$20 for a small tapas sized plate, I expect excellent food and good... service. The food isn't bad, but it's nothing special. Service was basically nonexistent. It felt more like getting takeout andeating it there than dining at a restaurant. There are much better options in the village at this price point. For just $3 morethan the cost of the beef and sausage fondue, which is a small tapas sized dish, you can get a full sized chicken parm withsalad at Piccolo right down the street. Read more

I finally tried this place after living here for 20 years lol! We bagan with empanadas, those were small for five bucks, it was... like 3 bites, but they were pretty flavorful bites. We also had the mixed grill and it was very good except for the bloodsausage, that was...not good! My only complaint is that the veggies and fries that come with the meat are on the smaller side ofthings. I ran out of veggies and fries to eat with the amount of meat i was given, oops! I also ordered a cocktail and it was sostrong so be careful with the drinks there! service was a little slow and they did apologize for being short staffed. Overall iwasn't really blown away, Ive had better, Im happy i tried it though! Paid around $250 for five people, with apps and drinks. Read more
