Dining while Black? NOT HERE. ????Unfortunately my handsome chocolate Husband decided to have breakfast here this morning and... when he walked he was told to just sit anywhere. After he sat down, other people began to come in. The same waitress went toeach one, greeted them warmly and ushered them to a table complete with menus. After serving 4-5 other tables she then came tohim and took his order. When his food arrived the steak was over cooked (probably burnt to match the eggs Hence the babe,?Toast?. They prob burn everything). My Hubs wanted to be nice and not post, however I don?t have that inclination. I feel theoverwhelming need to let ?our folk? know straight up that this sincerely appears to be a place that has a problem with Peopleof Color. That?s cool. Take your money elsewhere. This restaurant has been a reliable mainstay for breakfast and lunch in Huntington village for years. Everything on the menu... can be served at any meal, so if you crave a panini instead of a plate of eggs, you can do that here. On this visit I tried anew menu item called Thai eggs and rice. I asked the waitress about the preparation and she said it was scrambled eggs with atouch of Thai fish oil. It was served with a 1/2 cup serving of rice with chopped vegetables. I could not have made a betterchoice. Not one morsel was left on the plate. And it did not taste like anchovies! Lol the fish oil was subtle but it was aperfect touch. Read more
The reason I only gave 2 stars is because the portions served did not match the price. Although the food was good, there was not... enough for the price. $11.99 for 2 medium eggs and 2 small sausage links is way overpriced. The service was excellent thus my20% tip but the owner should stop being cheap with the portions. I won?t be going back. Read more
