Very good food. We had 2 starters fried Mac cheese balls, and the fried shrimp. Also had nashville hot chicken sandwich. Food... was great and service as well. Read more
Not sure why I didn't review The Martin the first time we came. This is our second visit and both were stellar. Great staff, and... just as important, incredible food. I got Sriracha shrimp and my wife got hot wings (they apparently have two levels of hotabove what she got). Pretty much perfect on both. Easily among the best Sriracha/firecracker/bang bang shrimp I've had anywhere.My wife loved the wings. You need to visit this place. Read more
Great atmosphere. Food was delicious! The Fried green tomatoes were juussst right!! Not greasy at all. The Nashville Hot Chicken... was just the right amount of heat to enjoy the flavor without the fire-per my husband! The shrimp tacos had excellent flavor,the sauce was a bit spicy for my wimpy self, but dabbed off easily and I loved them! The waiter (sorry didn't catch his name),also the bartender, provided some of the best, if Not the best, service we have received. He had NO PROBLEM with special requestto leave jalapeños off my tacos. He also was VERY knowledgeable about the menu and was spot on with his descriptions of thefood and offered to heat more or lessen per our request!! Last, but not least! The Mexican Corn was to die for! My husband saidit was okay- but it had a touch of grilled onions in it and he doesn't like onions! For me, it was the best! His beers were cold! "You had me at Apple candied Bacon...!" Met an ol' college buddy for lunch and wanted to find one of Huntsville's unique,... downtown eateries. I had seen The Martin's upstairs "Bistro and Bar" from their open 'garage' door window from across the streetat the VA office. Plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sporting event from. I ordered the "Marti" BLT...and can now say it'sthe best BLT I've ever had; Apple candied Bacon with fried green tomatoes, with guacamole and topped with a fried egg! Eachbite brought a new and distinct flavor, which made the quite large sandwich, soon disappear. The bartender was also the waiterduring lunch and did a good job taking care of everyone. If you're downtown and need a fairly quick but unique lunch, give it ashot. Read more
