First time for my friend's and family and we were delighted by the delicious food, perfectly done drinks,and the great service... of the young and professional server Keilante. Read more
It was family time again and it was great. The wait is long during the weekend up to 20+. Our bartender was very attentive to... our table and our needs. The kitchen made sure all our food came out together. It was a nice environment, family friendly. Oneof our server didn't want to give us an extra order of corn muffins...not sure why. This restaurant seemed well ran, my waiter Wayne did a good job of explaining the menu and helping me identify something dairy... free. This was one of the best Kale salads I?ve eaten, and my entree was delicious. The black beans were cooked perfectly asthey didn?t have the usual strong taste of the bean that runs people away, the cabbage was cooked to precision, and the catfishpaired well with the crab and shrimp grilled in oil instead of butter. Wonderful experience, food was so good, it would make you wanna smack your Momma. Cornbread, Collards & Mac'n Cheese, O.M.G..... Entrée were off the chain, Bang Bang Shrimp, Smothered Pork Chops, Stuffed Salmon, and Fried Catfish. Lots of other optionsjust couldn't get to them all. Parking was a bit of a hassle, was a bit of wait due to staffing shortages, spent about $40 perperson, and they had no soda, welcome to a post pandemic Washington DC. Saying all that to say to say I will being eating atthis spot anytime I get a chance. This place is always my go to when in the DMV area. I love their food. The service is always amazing. It may possibly be a wait... to dine in. Carry out buffet style is available as well.
