Lady K aka Mama K! I have been going to her restaurant since the first day she opened almost 7 years ago now. The food, the... service, the accommodation is beyond 5 ??. She will do anything to accommodate you. She goes above and beyond for her customersand her kids also, they are working hard! So when you go in there and you see her son Seany working extremely hard. The food is good. Collards a little salty. But could just be this batch. But for 3 meals at over $70 I would expect more than a... tablespoon (literally) of macaroni and cheese. I've had soul food places where I've spent less and had enough for 2 or 3 peoplein one meal. Empanades burnt, and WAY too spicy... and I LOVE SPICY. And the whiting? Not white. Where do I start about my experience with Lady K and her soul-filling business. I called her literally two days before my mom's... birthday, explained that I wanted to make her birthday special by having her favorites foods ready for her and my family to eatfor lunch after church on a Sunday. If you've been here before, you know she is closed on Sundays. Lady K opened just tofulfill my wishes to make my mom smile and provided the best soul food we've had this way. My mom and sister are two of thetoughest collard green critics that you ever want to meet and they LOVED her greens. Everything was seasoned to perfection andmouth watering. I dread having to write this review, because all I have wanted so badly was to come in and enjoy this place. Unfortunately, they... just can?t seem to honor their time. I have now been here twice; both on consecutive Wednesdays, supposedly the first day oftheir business week, once at 3:00, when they were supposed to open, and once at 4:00, an hour after they were supposed to open.What a shame. I had Thanksgiving catered and the food was absolutely amazing. The greens were cooked to perfection and the pulled pork was... flavorful and delicious. I will definitely order catering from here again. Thanks Lady K for making the holidays so special. Read more
