We stayed in Indian River for a night on our way up to the UP for a backpacking trip and needed somewhere to eat dinner on a... Sunday night. We were 2 of 4 people in the restaurant including the one employee. The beers are cheap, the burgers/ Buffalowraps served on paper plates were a bit overpriced but solid. A lot of other reviews here comment on slow service, we didn?thave that problem but again there were 3 people here. Found a great new country song too. Read more

They were out of most menu items, the waitress/bartender was working her butt off. Fun little stop on the way to the UP

Visiting the area and decided to stop in for dinner. The person I was with had been a few times and said it had a fun... atmosphere. He had been when the owner was there and enjoyed himself. Unfortunately, our experience tonight will probably resultin not returning. The only service we received from the waitress was a quick glance as she walked past us several times. Notonly did we have bad service, we were completely ignored. Once realizing we were going to have to ask for menus and ask to bewaited on, we decided to leave. Why give money to an establishment that doesn?t really need/want it. After reading the otherreviews this seems to be a common occurrence at this place. Wish I would?ve read the reviews first. Oh well, currently enjoyingour meal at the Thirsty Sturgeon. Read more

Don?t waste your time. This place has so much potential and charm but the management has done a disservice. Food took an hour... and a half and just looked like it was Sysco foods taken off the truck and fried to smithereens. Anything we ordered came outmissing something and would take 20 minutes to get from the kitchen. Our waitress was sweet but she could have warned us on thewait. Every time she?d say she?d come back in a minute, it?d be 15 min! If you have kids, don?t even think about it. The food isisn?t described as what comes out and in return the waitress will just say ?this is what the kitchen gave me? when you?relooking at boiled chicken that?s supposed to be chicken tenders. The photos on this listing show food in charming paper boats, don?t be mistaken- it?s served with no presentation in a blue solo cup and Dixie paper plates. If you want to go back to yourcollege - go for it, but the prices are high! Management did comp us our food but we left without dinner and a group of hangrypeople. Read more

Has dinner there yesterday. Horribly understaffed! Our waitress worked her tail off, the other two not so much (she was the... oldest). Ordered 2 well done burgers, they were absolutely rare! When we got them cooked right they were excellent! Watchedthe waitress/bartender go outside, smoke a cigarette, pick her teeth with her hand and come in and go strait to a table, withoutwashing her hands! Gross! Had it been our waitress we would have walked! Great atmosphere, but they need some help and cooksthat know the difference between well and rare! Prices were good! They were out of a ton of items as well! Read more
