Went there with my family for my birthday. The service was great and the food was delicious. Servings were extremely generous.... The staff were so sweet and sang Happy Birthday accompanied by a decadent chocolate cake! I would definitely return during mynext trip to Indiana, PA Read more
Ok. The good. The black cherry wine was awesome. The flavor of the steak and burger were awesome. The bad..... My husband... finished his first beer and set his bottle to the side of the table, see my attached photo. You can see two of the staff in thebackground just talking. Bartender with phone in hand. 10 minutes later, no 2nd drink. My husband ended up walking up to the barto get his own drink. It wasn't even busy. Besides us, one other table was occupied. The flavor of my husband's steak was greatbut contained a lot of fat and gristle. The "fries" were 5 huge potato wedges with enough salt to dehydrate a person for a week.On to my food. The flavor of the burger was great, no complaints. The macaroni and cheese was mediocre. It is more parmaseanbased but they used too much sprinkle canned parmasean as a garnish. Darkness was approaching outside as we got our check andthere wasn't much going on as for indoor lighting. My husband laughed at me as I got my phone out to use it to read my check.Then the waitress finally caught on and turned some lights on. We love trying new places and especially love to give business to locally owned, small businesses. We went to Trotters for my... husband's birthday. We all ordered the 12oz. NY steak and all ordered it medium rare. 2 out of 3 of us had the steak arrive asordered. The 3rd steak was over cooked (no pink at all). It was still palatable, but not cooked to the desired request. When itwas mentioned to the server, there was no response. No offer to make it right or even an apology. Overall the meal was good,but for the price, the steaks were quite fatty and the meal quality did not meet expectations. We came in late, just about closing time. Owner personally greeted us, very nice touch. Food was great service was great. We do... apologize for getting there late.
