My husband and I truly enjoy this gem on the east side. We've been coming here for 4 years and this place has not failed us yet.... An old faithful, locally owned, black owned, family friendly, souls food, diner. One of few in the circle city and easily my... personal favorite. Photos: combo meal, two sides of mean (pork chops and catfish), sides include: greens, mac and cheese, andsweet potatoes. As always, everything tasted delicious. Better than home! BBQ, smokehouse, southern fried chicken, this place has it all. The candied yams and green beans are... delicious. Hearty portions at a reasonable price. Best part is the staff is friendly, quick and professional. They keep thetables turning so the wait is not too long. They also keep the place clean and tidy, even the bathroom!
