Good atmosphere and friendly bartender/server. Was basically empty on a Thursday afternoon. Ordered wings with sauce on side,... but it was on the wings when it came out. Not a huge deal. Pretzel "fries" we're overcooked and tasted burnt. The biggestdetractor was that the owner/manager? got into an altercation with a random pair of guys walking past the restaurant. Was downtown on a warm September evening and needed to go for Dinner. I always typically like to visit Irish Pubs while I'm... travelling to stopped by O-Reilly's I walked in just after 5:15 and was the only person in the bar but was warmly greeted andseated immediately. The Bartender working couldn't have been friendlier, great demeanor and even sat down with me while Ifigured out what I was going to eat ( honestly a small touch but a nice friendly one ) Food came out in a timely fashion andwhile not earth shattering was of good quality and certainly on the upper scale of Irish Pubs. I went here for a private party. The wait-staff was friendly and there were games to play. The food was decent... Not... phenomenal, hence the 4 star rating. Typical "Irish" food, with everything being served with mashed potatoes. They didn't haveany special or signature drinks here but their regular drinks were mixed fine. Not too bad size-wise, considering it's indowntown Indy and the decor fit in with the Irish bar theme. Overall, a pretty ok place to go with friends but nothing to raveabout... We ate lunch at O'Reilly's on Wednesday during FFA National Convention. Service was the best I've every had at any restaurant.... Drinks were kept full, and the place was very clean. Cool atmosphere and we could hear ourselves talk! Highly recommend theRachel sandwich and the Cottage Beef Pie. Portions were adequate and food temperature was perfect. Meals arrived quickly. Ourserver even offered directions if we needed them while in the city- above and beyond. Just an amazing experience overall and wewill definitely return to O'Reilly's again. Read more
