Absolutely AMAZING! The owner was so gracious and kind. 1st class hospitality! We arrived and they had just had 2 big events... and were pretty much sold out, but he and his staff were so gracious and kind and would not let us leave empty handed because wehad made the trip to get there. We were definitely not disappointed and have found our new spot for excellent and amazing bbq! Meat so tender and juicy, falls right off the bone and is deep and rich in flavor!!!!! The brisket and chicken were sodelicious! I was grateful we bought 2 lbs. of the brisket. We will definitely visit often. This is definitely a jewel that weuncovered in Indianapolis!!! Like many others today I visited SB because of it's listing as the best BBQ in the state in an online article ranking BBQ... restaurants nationally. While I haven't tried enough BBQ in the area to verify that it's the best, I was not disappointed. Thisis a no frills mom and pop BBQ joint it what looks to be an old community center. The staff were friendly and fast despite therush, and the meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender. I had the meat fight (beef brisket and pulled pork) with corn casserole andbaked beans. The corn and beans were pretty good, the meat was great, and the price was reasonable ($15). I just hope theyeventually build the capacity to serve the dine-in food on reusable plates rather than putting everything in take outcontainers. Read more
Brought the family to Smokin Barrel last night and we were not disappointed. We of course tried the pork, and brisket which were... fantastic, probably the best I've had. I recommend also trying the chicken wings they were amazing. The staff was incrediblypleasant too and service was terrific. We'll definitely be coming back. Read more
