First time eating at Clayton's Kitchen today and I was not disappointed! The banana pudding cake is what drew to this wonderful... soul food restaurant. The meat on the oxtails literally fell off the bone, like they were undressing. The catfish was crispy andflavorful. All of the food and sides were well seasoned. I'll definitely be going back! The customer service was Fantastic. When I first seen the food it looked delicious. So I ordered a variety of food.The Greens,... cornbread muffin, green beans, strawberry crunch cake, and pound cake was great. The ribs were mac and cheese, spaghetti, peachcobbler was alright. I was a little conflicted with the dressing it was dry and grainy. I would definitely go back and if anything changes for the better I'll upgrade the rating. Read more
If i could give zero stars i would chicken was very small, salty and not cooked all the way through tasted rubbery mac n cheese... was basically noodles without cheese potatoes were clumpy werent mashed through and looked like it had lots of oil not butterwith bland taste for the price its not worth it for the food to be so horrible Read more

I rarely eat out, and when I do I support us! My first turkey dinner was good, as well as the greens and yams. The desert was... moist. My last turkey wing dinner had dry turkey, and mushy dressing. The greens had a strong taste of vinegar, that thefirst dinner I bought didn't have. The cake was not as moist, the next time, but I didn't even complain about that. I calledand was told the dinner would be replaced. A side of dressing was replaced. To the owner, Please know I don't have to lie fora meal, don't take meds, not having a bad day, or any of the other offensive things that you mentioned as a reason the meal wasnot good. I know good food fresh food when I taste it and I'm a good cook myself. The respectful response would have been toreplace my meal. I would say this place is hit or miss, depending on if they are selling the last of it or if it was freshlycooked, Being with my son truly kept me from responding to your comments the way I wanted to. If we are going onpossibilities, maybe the vinegar was to snap old greens back, turkey was dry from being rewarmed, and the dressing was rewarmedto mush??? Consistency is key!
