This restaurant is off of the beaten path of Old Forge. I came upon it by accident and what a great surprise. The local... restaurants on the main road were packed and reservations only. At least for any restaurants that weren't serving just tavernfood. This place is huge. It could hold up to 400 people. One of the charms of this place for me was the outside decor. Whilewaiting for dinner I watched hummingbirds chase each other around the multiple feeders, flowers and unique landscape. Inside waspacked with loads of memorabilia. The food was delicious. I can't tell you what I enjoyed more the pleasant staff and uniqueatmosphere or the food. The whole experience was outstanding. Great family restaurant or for large groups. Prices are relativelylow, much cheaper than most. Read more

Stopped in here this past winter for the first time ever. Beer was kinda high. The bartender wouldn't give any of us the wifi... password. I mean , come on really ? You're out basically in the middle of nowhere and you won't let people communicate withloved ones back home. Was really turned off by the place. Read more

I know this place is for sale, but it's really more of a bar than a restaurant. We went and we missed the kitchen by 5 minutes -... who knew a kitchen would close at 4 pm? It was a disappointing trip and they did nothing to accommodate two hungry snowmobilers. Read more

Went with the family at 5:30 on a Saturday. There was maybe 3 couples in the whole place. Saturday special was open faced... prime rib sandwich. Only one was available, they were out of the special. Everyone received their food except one person, whodidn't get his until we were all done eating. Apologies, but no discounts. Waitress was not around much. Can't imagine how itwould have been if it had been busy. 2 people, shrimp basket, lasagna and a couple of drinks = $78.00 with 18% gratuityincluded. Very disappointing! Read more
