I had a fish dinner. The fish and fries were crisp. Large plate mostly fries. The portion of fish was good for the price. ... They could take a day and clean the fans. This is THE DEFINITION of a hidden GEM! The staff are wonderful. They make u feel right at home. The food! EVEN BETTER! I wanted... home style food and i got it. Very delicious. Upon entrance, the restaurant smelled like mildew. Ordered 2 biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were in crumbles ( not really sure... if it was 2 biscuits or not) and overdone. Found 3 pieces of sausage in the entire plate. Wasn?t impressed. Bacon was verycrispy and pretty good, but it was $3 for 3 pieces of bacon ????. My son ordered French toast which he enjoyed but said it wasstill doughy in the middle. Our waitress was very nice. Overall, I think it was middle-of-the-road ?ok?, but next time we willprobably choose to go back to Tru Grits Restaurant just a few minutes away. The price was good. Ended up going to this restaurant because we were looking for a place to have breakfast and didn't want to cook at home. When we... got there the place was packed that's usually a good sign. We did get seated fairly quickly the food was good and the priceswere pretty good especially for today's economy. When I have family coming in from out of town we are definitely going hereagain.
