The ambience is decent except for the extremely loud music. They could tone down the volume a way lot, maybe play some Indian... classical instrumental stuff which is meant to create a good soothing ambience. Now, the food. We had the Milagaipodi MasalaDosa, Saravana Special Dosa and Medhu Vada. The dosas were good, although I like the Milagaipodi Dosa more than the Special one,since the Special Dosa really didn't have anything quite special about it. It was your typical Masala Dosa with some onions andchili. Nothing fancy here. We also had some Rava Kesari and Filter Coffee (strong) and the coffee was absolutely great. Sort oftook me back to my Chennai days. The one thing I really hated was the buspeople (cleaners) moving around all the filthy platesand splashing stuff right next to where we were sitting. I have seen this happen back in India at the Saravanas there but whyhere? C'mon Saravana, find a better way to clean tables without causing a fuss. Overall, just an ok experience. Read more
Been a while since we ate here. Service has improved 100%. We were seated quickly. Food was delivered to the table very fast and... was excellent. Customer service was wonderful. Keep at it. Read more
The restaurant is in its own building. We had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated even though there was no one waiting... before us and not very many customers at that time. The front desk lady was writing something and didn't even acknowledge thatwe were there until after 10-15 mins. Service was typical Indian restaurant service. The food was good. Had heard about this chain from various friends so decided to give it a try. After asking about their most popular dosas, I was... suggested to try Mysore Masala Dosa. Within 5 minutes of placing the order the dosa arrived. It was soft, very very thin andbarely warm. The potato stuffing was very mild and lacked flavor. Chutneys we're ok. The Sambhar lacked that authentic Bangaloreflavor. I was thinking of trying their filtered coffee, but the disappointment prevented me from trying. Service was good, butnot the food. Read more
