I eat here constantly. The menu Could be a tad more authentic, but the sushi is amazing, the sashimi is usually very thick, the... squid salad they have sometimes is to die for. Eat that if its available! Their duck dishes are all amazing as well, and thewhite rice is also very good and seasoned perfectly. Seriously, this is how a proper white rice should taste, slightly nutty,tender but bity. Definitely some of the best low key Asian in the area in a nice setting in the area without venturing to ahibachi place or into Oakland (check out Szechuan Gourmet in Oakland). Read more

After a really bad experience at another local Asian food place, I really didn't want to test the waters again. However,... everything I've had at Yummy Palace has been delicious. The egg drop soup was perfectly thick and super good and the Pad Thaiwas just as good. Unlike previous experiences, this restaurant doesn't sacrifice authentic flavors for the American palette,rather it's a good balance. First few visits were fine. But the last two weren't. The hot dishes were barely warm even though the name of one is literally... "sizzling delight". They seemed to change the sushi chef too because overall roll quality has dropped since we visited last. Theservers didn't seem to care when we told them what was wrong with our dishes.
