Burgers are marginal. Wedge salad is pretty good, and might be the only appropriately priced item on the menu. This menu feels... heavy and unimaginative. Read more
Since campus re-opened, they've rebranded as just "root", and have pared down their menu to focus exclusively on burgers,... chicken sandwiches, and salads. I haven't tried the latter two items yet, but the quality of their burgers has gone up. I hadthe mushroom swiss burger and it was fully cooked yet still juicy, with a generous amount of pepper seasoning the patty. Theironion rings are well above average, too, crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth soft on the inside. This may now be thebest burger place in the campus/IV area. Read more
Update: I got horrible food poisoning here from a breakfast burrito with strangely sour salsa and undercooked potatoes in it. I... had to miss an entire class cause it messed up my stomach so bad. Not worth the money at all, wish I?d never eaten at thisplace. French fries looked good but were undercooked and bland. Buffalo blue cheese chicken sandwich was okay, the buffalosauce had too much vinegar, it was more sour than spicy. I?ll probably try something else and see maybe they were just having abad day.
