We are new to the area and this place was recommended to us by the couple we went with. It?s a nice cozy little place. My... husband and I both ordered the steak with garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli and cheese soup. My meal was fantastic but myhusband?s steak was not cooked to order and the meat tasted spoiled. The consistency was mushy. We mentioned it to our server inhopes there would be an attempt to make it right. Unfortunately we were met with complete indifference with no adjustment to ourbill or offer to redo the steak. Unfortunately we will not be returning as the food did make my husband ill. Read more
I was looking forward to their fish fry after having read all the good reviews. Unfortunately, we didn't have a great... experience. Our young waitress brought out the wrong drink and then gave us an attitude and argued about it. The second drinkwas correct. Thank goodness. Online it said there was a salad & soup bar with the fish fry but there wasn't tonight. The fishwas warm at best. When we asked for more, but requested that it be hot this time, it was not. Cold fried fish is not veryappetizing, so we didn't eat much. Hopefully, this Friday night was an unusual one for them and they are normally better. Stopped in around 2pm on a Monday with my family... there was only one table busy, the rest was empty, and a few people at the... bar. Staff was rude, yelling at customers, wouldn't substitute any foods. Asked for a simple BLT, they wouldn't do it. Ifit's not on the menu, they don't know how to make it. The staff got very angry when we decided to leave, they charged us extrafor the drinks (two sodas and water). We will not be going back. We were really looking forward to the good food we heardabout from the locals... but I guess you have to be a local to get good service. Read more
Very tasty patty melt on marbled rye, medium well. French fries were hot, crunchy, flavorful. PepperJack Burger, well-done, was... cooked perfectly! It's a boathouse, so there's a shower in the women's restroom, and clear signs saying what can and what CANNOTbe flushed down the toilets. Read more
